Before the JUNOS arrived on our shores, our goal was simple: to showcase Atlantic Canada as the vibrant hub of musical talent we all know it is. Wavemakers Tour / 5 Atlantic Canadian Cities / 20+ Artists / 5 East Coast Ambassadors

The Wavemakers Tour was launched to discover the next generation of East Coast artists. A jury panel selected a winner from each participating city as an ambassador to perform live during JUNO Week in front of a packed house of fans.

JUNO Block Party / 3 Nights / 1 Waterfront / 16+ Artists

The first of its kind, the JUNO Block Party presented by FACTOR was a free showcase featuring a diverse range of Canadian talent and emerging artists. For three electrifying nights, fans experienced unforgettable performances by some of their favourite musicians and JUNO-winning artists under a tent on the Halifax waterfront.

JUNOfest / 2 Days / 100+ Artists / 10+ Venues

JUNOFest transformed intimate stages and bustling pubs into showcases across Halifax. Until early morning on March 22 and March 23, more than 100 Canadian musicians and JUNO nominees performed.

JUNO Opening Awards Night / 40+ JUNO Award Winners / 5+ Performances

Livestreamed on CBC from the Halifax Convention Centre, Aba Amuquandoh and Damhnait Doyle hosted the 2024 Juno Opening Night Awards, a celebration that included the awarding of 40-plus JUNO Awards.

The 2024 JUNO Awards / 1 Live Broadcast / 8000+ Fans

The 2024 JUNO Awards at Scotiabank Centre celebrated outstanding achievements in Canadian music in 2023, recognizing exceptional recordings, compositions, and artists determined by members of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). Broadcast live on CBC, the 2024 JUNO Awards was the most diverse and culturally representative in JUNOS history.

Inspired by Nova Scotia Culture

To welcome the 2024 JUNO Awards to Mi'kma'ki, Destination Indigenous hosted the Honouring Ceremony on March 23 with tradition and spirit, and in celebration of 38 Indigenous 2024 JUNO nominees, the most of any year to date. On March 24, the African Nova Scotian Music Association hosted Celebration Sunday with performances and appreciation of the rich musical heritage of Nova Scotia's Black communities.
